DIY Glass Stovetop Cleaner

Using three simple ingredients you can remove all of that burnt on food to get your glass stove top sparkling like new.

This combination is very much like a soft scrub, save money with this simple at-home method!

Ingredients:

-Baking soda of any brand
-Mrs. Meyers dish soap
-Water

Directions:
In small dish or bowl, combine a small amount of baking soda and dish soap with water to form a paste.  I recommend Mrs. Meyers dish soap for it's natural properties and lovely fragrances. Using a sponge, dab the paste onto the stove top until fully covered.  Let sit and scrub clean with the sponge to reveal a sparkling shine!  Dry with a damp cloth until  all residue from the baking soda is gone.

How We Met

My freshman year of college consisted of many days spent in my dorm room, doing work and....sleeping.  I wasn't much of a social butterfly before college and that really didn't change throughout those years.  I stayed in Pride Hall at North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University (NCAT).  Little did I know, my husband also stayed in the same dorm hall. I made friends who I would go to the cafe with, hangout with in each other's rooms and make quick trips to find food off campus.  There was one guy who I had not met but knew of through my friends.  One day I was told that a guy named Clint really liked me and wanted to get to know me.  Something really funny is that I knew of another guy named Clint, who I was somewhat attracted to, that stayed on the floor below me.  The whole time my friends and I talked about "Clint", I thought we were talking about the guy downstairs, however it wasn't the same person. Once I figured out which Clint liked

Smoothie Clean-Up

Let's be honest, after making a smoothie, there is a mess.  Who wants to make a smoothie when all you can think of is the mess to clean afterwards?  I thought the same until I realized that I could clean the blender as fast as I made the smoothie, before my first sip. What you'll need: Dish soap Water Directions:  Fill the blender about half full with water, add a few drops of dish soap.  Of course my favorite soap is Mrs. Meyers because a little goes a long way.  Close the lid tightly, and turn on!  Let the blender run until all debris has been washed down from the sides of the blender.  Rinse thoroughly.   This is a great method for a quick rinse of your blender between uses throughout the week.  Deep clean the blender after two uses.  Choosing an effective dish soap is key to making sure that all debris from the blender has been removed.  If any debris is left after the first rinse, repeat. Journey to Becoming a Mommy

When I got married in March of 2012 I had no idea that our next chapter of starting a family would be our first obstacle to overcome together.  As an African American woman, I have since found it common that we do not make it a priority within our culture to consider pre-family planning education.  I had regular gynecological check-ups, but had no idea of even where to start with trying to conceive. I immediately stopped birth control and we started trying.  This is when I learned about ovulation, the many phases of our menstrual cycle and other very interesting things that our amazing body is capable of.  As I started to track my cycles I found the Trying To Conceive (TTC) community on Youtube.  I watched and listened and finally something began to happen.  About 2 months into TTC, I got a positive pregnancy test on a cheap dollar tree test.  By this time, I had tracked ovulation with test strips and knew when I should have been expected my period.  When I didn't get my period I
